| Back
in 1860, presidential candidate Abraham Lincoln, an honest lawyer
with a vision for how the business of government ought to be run,
spent slightly under $100 in his successful campaign for the presidency
of the United States. Today, through out this country, you can
see what is being spent on our election campaigns…and it
borders on insanity.
Even, here in San Diego, most recently,
we watched over 2.6 million dollars being spent in the mayoral
primary. At some point, you have to ask yourself, what is really
going on behind the scenes that would cause this kind of money
to be spent to attain these positions of public trust?
